Well, this sweet family is near and dear to me. My husband’s eldest sister has four adorable (not to mention kind, caring and polite) children. We met up at the Kennesaw Battlefield for these photos for their Christmas cards. I am overwhelmed at how grown up my little flower girls are ring bearer are looking!
I had dogs growing up, but I’m not really a dog person. Helo, however, can turn anyone into a dog person! He is adorable and he has two sweet dads that spoil him rotten! During our shoot, he ate a few hot dogs (his favorite brand, Hebrew National) and behaved almost perfectly! We took a stroll around Decatur through the woods and had a great time together!
I headed back to Polo Fields for this family session. Polo Fields is a gorgeous backdrop for photos, and it’s been fun to watch it change with the season. Today’s session had lots of golden fall colors, which matched perfectly with the neutral color scheme the family choose. These two little ones were super sweet, and I enjoyed watching them interact. I even snapped a few photos of a two-year old meltdown (not shown here), which may never don this family’s walls, but as a mom who has passed that (frustrating-at-the-time) phase, these are sweet moments to look back on. 🙂
This sweet mom asked me to capture the special relationship she has with her son. At four, this little guy doesn’t like to sit still. So, we let him roam around the park and captured him being a boy and him interacting with his sweet momma. They really do share a special bond, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to capture that in photos.
We found another lovely location in the Smyrna area for this shoot, Whittier Mill Village. This park has an historic building, and part of an older building, which provided a lot of exposed brick for this family’s photoshoot. We had a great time and captured some beautiful images for their holiday card!
Last week, I hosted a few families for holiday mini sessions. Mini sessions are a great way to capture family photos for holiday cards! Here are some of my favorites from the sessions. Keep your eyes peeled on the blog and my Facebook page for upcoming mini session dates!
This family introduced me to an adorable area in Smyrna, Polo Fields. This property is privately-owned, but the owners allow the public to use the grounds for walking dogs and families – and, fortunately, for taking photos! I really enjoyed working with this family! They were relaxed and just enjoying their time together as a family, which showed in their photos.
I loved meeting JB and his family at an adorable duck pond in Buckhead. JB definitely kept me on my toes, and it was difficult to keep up with this active three-year old. He was a bit leery of my, but once he warmed up we got some adorable shots of him and his little personality. And, of course, he loved earning his lolly!
I met this adorable family at Sandy Spring’s Greenway to document Preston’s first birthday! Sandy Spring’s Greenway is a a beautiful playground architecturally-inspired equipment. It’s definitely a refreshing take on a playground, and it is worth checking out! In addition to documenting Preston’s first birthday, we captured lots of grew family shots, which will be perfect for their Christmas card.
